At the ACM Designing Interactive Systems Conference 2026 (DIS ’26), held 13–17 June 2026 in Singapore, two papers involving the chair were honoured.
The paper “Floating Companion: Exploring Design Space for Lighter-than-Air Soft Floating Robots in Indoor Environments” (https://doi.org/10.1145/3800645.3813051) received a Best Paper Award. It explores how soft, helium-filled flying robots can be designed as companions in indoor spaces.
An Honorable Mention went to “Creating Empowering Counter-Narratives through Collective Digital Art by Disabled People” (https://doi.org/10.1145/3800645.3813063).
Both works were created in collaboration with the Graduate School of Media Design at Keio University.
